Commercial

Over the last 15 years, Glossy's Painting & Decorating has worked on a number of commercial projects of all sizes for some of Australia's most prestigious companies including Westfield, Carnival Australia, and NRMA.

Whether its creating a productive office environment, installations in shopping malls, cafe and restaurant fit-outs or even rejuvenating one of Sydney's most iconic nightspots, our attention to detail and craftsmanship are able to meet your needs and budget.

Corporate - Carnival Australia

Jonny Gloss was commissioned to completely refit three staff breakout areas in the Sydney headquarters of Carnival Australia, transforming underutilised, shabby spaces into inviting communal spaces that suited the company's international reputation.

Each room and adjoining outside area was created around a separate colour scheme with furniture commissioned to Jonny's own designs that were both eyecatching and durable.

Project managed by Jonny - including supervision of all trades on site - the entire project was completed in just eight weeks and on budget with fit-out taking place over two weekends to minimise disruption to staff.

Showroom - NRMA

Glossy's has extensive experience working on projects which involved coordinating closely with all other trades on-site. One such example was the creation of NRMA's Crashed Car Showroom on York Street in Sydney.

This NRMA safety promotion required a full fit-out of the showroom with extensive repairs carried out to the existing walls and ceiling prior to panting as well as the creation of new enclosures within the building. In some cases we were painting walls as they were put up in order to meet tight deadlines.

Working to such short timeframes involved some 24 hour days as well as careful workforce management. The end result was achieved on time and on budget, creating an arresting showcase for NRMA's campaign on car safety.

Hospitality - Venue 505

Glossy's was commissioned to undertake the refit and redecoration of one of Sydney's most famous live music venues for a series of promotional events for Smirnoff Black.

As well as creating a colour scheme inspired by the Smirnoff Black brand, Jonny also liased closely with the venue owners to ensure that the end result would also remain true to the club's heritage and ethos.

Jonny created striking chevron and checkerboard designs for the walls using gloss and matt paint. Glossy's team carefully prepared all surfaces prior to painting and chose finishes that would prove durable in high traffic areas.

The result was both a hit with Smirnoff for its promotional nights and with Venue 505's regular clientele.
